A Little Fairytale

"If I'm honest I have to tell
you I still read fairy-tales
and I like them best of all."
             ~Audrey Hepburn

Just a little post today! I found a pretty pale pink shadow box a while ago and decided to make it a little "showcase" for my handmade fairy dresses. I made two little ball gowns in shades of pink and then filled it with other small vintage and handmade treasures. I think it looks quite whimsical and my sister who has a little girl has already gazed at it longingly for her daughter's room so it might be going to a new home very soon! I hope the sun is shining wherever you are and that you have a lovely weekend!

Vintage With Flair

"To select well among old things
is almost equal to inventing new ones."
      ~Nicholas Charles Trublet

I love to go to flea markets, vintage sales, and antique shows. There is something so exciting about them! You don't know what you're going to see and the anticipation standing in the line outside the door with the odd glimpse of what might be waiting beyond is thrilling. This weekend I went to one of my favourite antique sales 'Vintage with Flair'. I love it because the focus is on home decor, handmade treasures, and vintage fashion. As I was wandering around I snapped a few quick pictures of a few of my favourite booths. Some of the displays were truly gorgeous! Honey B's at Home is my most favourite vendor with her stunning romantic painted furniture, chandeliers, lamps, and beautiful pin boards. You can visit her gorgeous instagram HERE. I brought home a very pretty table from her which I will share with you soon. :) I could have brought home SO much more! C'est la vie!

My Studio

"Femininity is not just lipstick,
stylish hairdos, and trendy clothes.
It is the divine adornment of humanity.
It finds expression in your qualities,
in your capacity to love, your spirituality,
delicacy, radiance, sensitivity, creativity,
charm, graciousness, gentleness, dignity,
and quiet strength."
             ~James E. Faust

I recently transformed my former bedroom into my workspace - my family calls it my "Studio". This is where I work on my Etsy Shop and blog, create my artwork and handmade pieces, and generally run this little business that I have come to love! It is a small space but it suits my needs and I have filled it with everything that I love. The focal point I suppose is a large vintage French Provincial cream china cabinet. The bottom drawers and cupboards are filled with supplies and the vintage goodies that you will see in my shop. The glass cabinet portion has some of my own personal treasures revolving around a soft pink theme. I haven't shown my desk here because you've seen it before and really how fascinating is my computer? :) There is also a small chest, my French vanity, an antique upholstered chair, the ornate antique painted table which you will remember from this Post, and a stunning framed piece of artwork by one of my most loved artists Pino. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into where I create! This space is definitely a source of inspiration for me and a place where I can embrace my femininity and be creative.
